Various groups of people, tribal leaders, and elders decorated floats and dressed up to represent departments of the Yakama Nation Tribe.
This weekend marks the 162nd anniversary of the signing of the treaty that formed the Yakama Nation Tribe.
The Yakama Nations treaty, signed in 1855, combined 14 tribes and bands throughout Eastern Washington, from Mt. Adams to the Palouse down to the Columbia River to the south. Yakama Nation manages over 1.3 million acres and is home to 10,000 enrolled members.
